I have often thought about the increase in food allergies in children especially in America. Rarely will you talk to a teacher who has not dealt with this in the classroom. Now a days almost everyone is familiar with an Epipen…from peanuts, soy, dairy, eggs, nuts, wheat etc….What could be causing this?
I believe there are a variety of reasons from how we process the food now to the amount of GMOs and pesticide use in our foods, to toxins in the environment, but could there be another association?
“Since the 1940’s, researchers have been well aware of the resulting allergic sensitization that occurs in humans after they have been injected with a food protein. The CDC acknowledged the connection between gelatin allergies and gelatin contained in vaccinations in 1999 and the Institute of Medicine (IOM) confirmed the general connection between food allergies and the injection of food proteins during an analysis of data involving adverse reactions associated with vaccines in 2011. The 2015 study, published with the title “Evidence that Food Proteins in Vaccines Cause the Development of Food Allergies and Its Implications for Vaccine Policy,” notes the previously established connection between vaccinations and food allergies and explains that the amount of food protein contained within vaccines is completely unregulated and undisclosed. They also note that the amount of food protein injected during a single vaccine alone is sometimes sufficient to create sensitization in humans, yet the effect is greatly enhanced when administered in conjunction with aluminum adjuvants and/or additional vaccinations.” (foodprotiens)
I came across this interesting article about the development of food allergies and vaccines, it is short and worth a read.
In summary, vaccines should be labeled with their food ingredients or these ingredients should be eliminated from vaccines ideally; wheat, soy, egg, casein etc. The problem here is the immune system can be sensitized to these food proteins through vaccination leading to food allergies in children.
“Vaccines and injections contain food proteins such as chicken egg,
casein, gelatin, soy, agar etc. [12]. They also contain ingredients such
as Polysorbate 80 and sorbitol which are manufactured using food
sources. Checking with a few suppliers, Polysorbate 80 is sourced from
various food items such as coconut, palm, sunflower, tapioca, wheat,
corn etc. Other vendors could be using other vegetable oils, legume
oils and nut oils as the source for oleic acid used in the manufacture of
Polysorbate 80. It is impossible to guarantee that these products do not
contain residual allergen proteins from these food sources….
Obviously, as Kuno-Sakai et al. [10] have concluded, phasing out food
proteins from vaccines and injections as soon as possible would be the
real solution for food allergies caused by vaccines and injections.”
If you want to learn more about peanut allergies I recommend the book The Peanut Allergy Epidemic which I read a couple years ago. It is eye opening to see how vaccines and peanut allergies can be associated.
